Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees Eligible for U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Benefits and Services

This policy letter informs ORR grantees that as of May 21, 2022, the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022 (AUSAA) authorizes ORR to provide resettlement assistance and other benefits available for refugees to specific Ukrainian populations and other non-Ukrainian individuals in response to their displacement from Ukraine and entry into the United States.

Three of the nine national resettlement agencies in the U.S. are piloting a national co-sponsorship program. During this session participants will learn about the pilot programs, including the approaches the three agencies have taken in the design and implementation of their programs, and the challenges and opportunities they’ve identified to date.

The Every Campus A Refuge (ECAR) map tool is a geo-enabled map highlighting multiple layers of resettlement, including refugee resettlement agencies; refugee and immigrant advocacy, service, and support groups; US colleges and universities; state refugee coordinator offices; and headquarters of the nine resettlement agencies.
