Due to the President’s Executive Order on Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid, the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) directed Refugee Welcome Collective to immediately suspend work as of January 24, 2025. In compliance with this directive, all RWC offerings funded by PRM, such as Lunch and Learn webinars and Sounding Board social learning spaces, are canceled until further notice. Technical assistance booking is also unavailable at this time.

Identifying and Sharing Untold Refugee Stories

A well-told story has the power to create a meaningful connection between people. In this session, a refugee storyteller along with story expert Cheryl Hamilton encourage attendees to develop a catalog of impactful refugee stories.

They share personal migration stories and offer lessons on identifying experiences that resonate with broader audiences, regardless of people’s identities or backgrounds. This is the second session in a series exploring the value of storytelling in welcoming communities.
